While it is totally fine to daydream in all seasons, summer is the ideal background. The higher temperatures and the longer duration of sunlight will encourage you. Even if your busy schedule doesn’t allow for trips, the view outside will start positive dreams and help you smile.

Instead of being critical of yourself and shunning daydreams as opposed to efficiency, learn to see them in a different light. Their results may not be immediate, but they help you become a better person all the time. In your career a daydream will target an issue you are dealing with and will become the means to analyze different solutions.
You can also counter different arguments to make your point of view more clear to your colleagues. In family life daydreaming will help you come up with new games for your kids or think of fun ways to keep every family member engaged and happy.
Don’t let people underestimate you for being up in a cloud sometimes
Having your head in the clouds does not equal conceit, superficiality or selfishness. Don’t let daydreaming be a pretext for others to underestimate you. If that happens do not stop dreaming, but evaluate how close you are to the those criticizing you.
Do they have a useful role in you life? Do they value you as a person and respect your feelings? Positive people will bring you more energy, while toxic ones will surround you with doubt and negativity. Select carefully and you will keep only the right people in your life. Daydreaming may be a way to see beyond appearances.
